Kevin Roy, CPA

Kevin Roy is a senior financial executive with more than 20 years of experience helping organizations strengthen financial leadership, navigate change, and build the systems needed for long-term success. Whether stepping into an interim leadership role, supporting an Executive Director through organizational change, or working alongside a Board to strengthen financial governance, Kevin brings a calm, strategic approach grounded in practical experience.

Kevin has worked with publicly traded companies, private businesses, charities, not-for-profit organizations, and member-based associations, with a particular strength in helping leadership teams improve financial reporting, budgeting, governance, and operational effectiveness. He is known for quickly building trust with Executive Directors, CEOs, finance teams, and Boards while creating sustainable improvements that continue long after his engagement ends.

Throughout his career, Kevin has frequently been brought in during periods of transition, providing experienced financial leadership when organizations need stability and strategic direction. He has stepped into executive finance roles following senior leadership departures, strengthening board reporting, improving budgeting and proposal development processes, mentoring finance teams, and helping organizations enhance their overall financial operations. His focus is not simply on maintaining continuity, but on leaving organizations with stronger processes, greater financial insight, and more confident leadership.

Kevin has also partnered closely with Boards and Finance Committees, helping organizations strengthen financial oversight, governance practices, and strategic decision-making. His ability to communicate complex financial matters in a practical and meaningful way allows Boards to focus on governance while providing Executive Directors with the financial insight needed to lead confidently.

In addition, Kevin has led organizations through periods of operational and financial change, providing executive finance leadership while supporting accounting system transitions, maintaining business continuity, and guiding finance teams through evolving organizational priorities.

Prior to joining Part Time CFO Services, Kevin served as CFO of a division within a publicly traded North American organization, where he was responsible for financial strategy, performance management, executive reporting, and business partnership. Earlier in his career, he led more than 30 acquisitions with a combined value exceeding $500 million, giving him extensive experience in growth, integration, due diligence, and strategic financial planning. He began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, developing a strong foundation in audit, corporate finance, and advisory services.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Windsor and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA). He has also been actively involved in his community through volunteer leadership, serving as Treasurer and Executive with a local hockey association while coaching both house league and select teams.

Based in Etobicoke, Kevin partners with organizations across the Greater Toronto Area, the Golden Horseshoe, and throughout Ontario, helping leaders strengthen their financial operations, improve governance, and position their organizations for long-term success.
