Dev Upadhyay

Dev Upadhyay brings a strong combination of financial analysis and accounting experience to his role as Financial Analyst at Part Time CFO Services. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting from Trent University, where he graduated on the President’s Honour Roll, and completed the Canadian Securities Course through the Canadian Securities Institute.

In his previous roles as a Financial Analyst and Research Accountant, Dev supported financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, month-end activities, and year-end audits. His experience includes preparing journal entries and reconciliations, analyzing financial results and variances, and supporting operating and capital budgets.

As a Research Accountant at Trent University, Dev managed the financial administration of research grants, working with researchers to monitor budgets, prepare forecasts and reports, and ensure expenditures complied with funding agreements and institutional policies. This experience strengthened his analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Outside of work, Dev enjoys playing sports, particularly cricket, soccer, volleyball, and badminton, as well as following Formula 1 and Manchester United. Dev has volunteered as a Trent International Ambassador and with Tutoring Trent, supporting students through mentorship and academic development.
