Ainsley Walton
Ainsley is an accounting professional with experience supporting both not-for-profit organizations and private businesses through periods of growth, transition, and operational change. She is known for combining strong technical accounting knowledge with a practical, client-focused approach, helping organizations strengthen their financial operations while providing dependable day-to-day support for leadership teams.
Ainsley holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting from Trent University. She successfully passed the Common Final Examination (CFE) in May 2025 and is currently completing the final requirements for her CPA designation.
Throughout her career, Ainsley has partnered with organizations across a wide range of industries, delivering both strategic financial leadership and hands-on accounting support. Her experience includes leading full-cycle accounting functions, cash flow management, payroll, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, audit preparation, and government and grant reporting.
Working with not-for-profit organizations, Ainsley has managed complex funding environments, including the administration and reporting of restricted funds, government grants, and regulatory reporting to provincial ministries and funding agencies. She has supported successful capital grant applications, developed long-term capital forecasts, and provided financial insight that enables organizations to make informed operational and investment decisions.
In the private sector, Ainsley has helped organizations improve financial processes while supporting business growth and organizational stability. Her experience includes partnering with leadership teams on cash flow management during fluctuating funding cycles, assisting with major capital projects including property acquisition and facility renovations, and implementing strategies that strengthened employee retention through improved policies, benefits, and workplace culture.
Ainsley has also played key roles during periods of organizational transition, providing interim financial leadership while businesses recruited permanent staff. During these engagements, she has modernized accounting systems, implemented payroll and online banking platforms, introduced electronic CRA filing processes, analyzed internal workflows, trained finance staff, and helped organizations establish more efficient and sustainable financial operations.

Outside of work, Ainsley enjoys staying active and challenging herself through weightlifting, hiking, biking, golfing, and skiing. An avid outdoor enthusiast, she also enjoys spending summers camping and relaxing at the lake with family and friends.
