Ed Myers, CPA, CMA
Based in Guelph, Ed Myers is a seasoned financial leader with over 25 years of experience helping organizations navigate growth, complexity, and change. He has worked across a broad spectrum of environments, from publicly traded corporations to entrepreneurial and family-owned businesses—bringing a practical, results-driven approach to every engagement.
Ed is known for quickly diagnosing financial and operational challenges and implementing solutions that strengthen performance and decision-making. He excels at building reliable financial infrastructure, improving cash-flow visibility, and translating financial insights into clear actions for non-financial leaders. His work consistently supports increased enterprise value and long-term sustainability.
Prior to joining Part Time CFO Services, Ed held senior finance roles in consumer products, manufacturing, and industrial services, where he developed a strong foundation in operational finance and strategic leadership. He is a graduate of Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Technology with Honours in Business – Accounting and holds his CPA, CMA designation.
More recently, Ed has played key CFO and interim leadership roles across transportation and tourism, advanced manufacturing, industrial fabrication, and water treatment sectors. His experience includes redesigning accounting functions, implementing profitability and management reporting, leading organizations through severe cash flow disruptions, negotiating bank financing and government funding, managing significant capital divestitures, and supporting successful acquisitions and ownership transitions. In private equity–backed environments, he has helped scale businesses significantly through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
Ed is also frequently called upon to step in during leadership gaps, where he stabilizes finance teams, remediates control and reporting issues, and helps recruit and transition permanent finance leaders, leaving organizations stronger and more self-sufficient.
Outside the office, Ed is an avid golfer and enjoys attending live sporting events. He is committed to giving back to his community, having served as Treasurer for the United Way of Halton Hills and continuing to mentor CPA students. Ed supports clients throughout the Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding regions.
