Monica Quinlan, CPA, CMA
Monica has nearly 20 years of leadership experience managing the finances and information technology in both the private and public sectors. The first 15 years of her career began in the automotive sector where she managed annual operating budgets of over $250 Million. In these roles she proved throughout the 2008 Automotive Sector Crisis that she has the ability to drive change effectively and efficiently, where staff reductions, process improvements, quote model reformation and cost cutting were vital to survival of the organization. As part of her experience she has created and installed ERP systems and developed appropriate reporting tools to ensure accountability and performance management. Monica also has extensive inventory management expertise, using a variety of systems ensuring waste reduction and appropriate controls are in place to manage this important part of a manufacturers business.
Monica has experience in administering organizations with multiple currencies, including the management of hedging programs to protect the organization during periods of volatility. She also developed and maintained internal control policies and procedures that helped to ensure the accuracy of reporting as well as safeguarding of the organization’s assets.
Monica also has over 5 years of public sector experience, where she managed and developed water/wastewater rates studies, development charge background studies, municipal tax levies, investment policies, budgeting and public presentations. She has a full understanding of Municipal Finance and is able to bridge the gap between the private and public sectors.
